FAQ's
Q. Why did you move all the way from North Carolina to Colfax, WA?

A. It was God!  In 2001, Tim had the opportunity to visit Cheney, WA.  The Lord put a burden in his heart to come back to Washington to plant churches.  Around the same time in NC, the Lord was working on Jennifer's heart about the same thing.  In 2002, Tim came back to WA for six weeks during the summer and had the opportunity to travel all over the state.  The Lord put Colfax, WA on his heart.  After praying and seeking the Lord's will, God settled Colfax in the hearts of Tim and Jennifer.  People always ask why Colfax?  Because that's where God said to go.

Q.   Wasn't it hard leaving all of your family?

A. YES!  Someone recently asked Jennifer how she could leave all of her family and move cross country with the only grandchild.  The person said, Why couldn't he pastor a church there?  Well, that wasn't God's will.  It was God's will for us to move to Colfax, WA and we would rather be in God's will than living in NC and be out of the will of God.  The Lord has provided for us every step of the way and has clearly shown us that we are supposed to be in Colfax, WA and that is where we want to be - in God's will!

Q. What makes you different from other Baptist churches?

A. We are an Independent church, which means that we are not a part of an association or organization that tells us what to believe or how to conduct services.  We believe God is the head of the church and that the Bible is our guidebook.  We are self governing, self supporting, and self propogating.  All of the tithes and offerings given stay here at the local church and does not go to support an organization's goals and ideas.
